Inspired by the transcendental stylings and craftsman nature of architect Bernard Maybeck The Nest ADU is an homage to the great American architect built with contemporary materials and Utilizing structural insulated panels (SIPs), Nest has designed an affordable accessory dwelling unit outfitted with all of the luxuries of any modern home. The modular nature of the panel systems allow for the construction of a spacious, open-plan living area and kitchen flooded with natural light by clerestory windows with still the inclusion of two intimate bedrooms, both boasting ample storage space. A centrally located restroom, outfitted with both shower and bath, allows for access from both the living space and bedrooms.

Celebrating the nature of the Nest ADU’s construction with prefabricated panels, the OSB (Oriented Strand Board) of the SIPs is exposed and varnished.
