Job Description:
This is a great prospect for an Architectural Designer to develop deign thinking and technical capabilities through our learning and development interface, mentorship and become an expert in BIM standards. The position will provide you with opportunities to learn from on wide range of projects at all stages from conception to completion.
Job Responsibilities:
As an Architectural Designer with knowledge and experience in BIM software, you will be working under the guidance of a licensed architect and the project manager to design and develop comprehensive residential and commercial projects with minimum supervision:
· Create complete sets of architectural and technical drawings incorporating any changes/alterations from the city/principal architect, create detailed diagrams and schedule drawings in ArchiCAD.
· Coordinate, markup, and review consultant drawings, provide design assistance and calculations to designers, engineers, and contractors.
· Produce drawings/projects consistent with BIM standards from precise ArchiCAD models.
· Research and develop understanding of codes and design incorporating the applicable codes.
Job Requirements:

We are a tight knit team which will give you ample opportunities to learn from take on a varied set of responsibilities. We are working from office at a great location on Venice Blvd in Downtown Culver City and require the applicant to be vaccinated.
Qualifications:
· Associate degree (or higher), completion of trade school, or equivalent formal training.
· Minimum 2 to 5 years of working experience in an Architecture firm producing construction documents.
· Ability to understand and communicate information from detailed technical drawings using floor plans, sections, elevations, details, and schedules.
· We are currently working with the latest version of ArchiCAD, working knowledge and experience in that would be a plus. Candidates familiar with other BIM software like Revit will be preferred.
· Familiar with Los Angeles and California building practices and code requirements.
· Experience in producing high quality renders for presentation packages using ArchiCAD or other rendering software (compatible with ArchiCAD e.g., Twinmotion, Lumion) and post-processing in Photoshop.
· Research materials and products; consult with manufacturers, vendors, consultants, and contractors.
· Willing to work necessary hours if needed, to meet project deadlines
· Familiar with residential and commercial construction techniques.
